Beoga
Beoga, is the Irish word for lively, an apt desciption for this five piece from County Antrim.
The band picked up a nomination for best traditional newcomer in 2005 on the back of their 2004 debut, 'A Lovely Madness'.
Since then they've added fiddle singer, Niamh Dunne to the line up and mixed the sound around a bit. No longer a pure tradition band, Beoga,
have brought jazz and blues into their vibe. You may also remember them from last year when they joined the BBC Orchestra for an appearance
in front of millions at the world famous Last Night Of The Proms.
2007 also saw the release of their, 'Mischief' album. This is their Cambridge debut, following a long list of young Irish bands onto the stages.
