Solas

In the seven years since Solas last played the festival, they've managed to split, fit in a few solo projects and reform. A five piece outfit, Solas are very much a Trans-Atlantic gaelic inspired band, drawing on both the native tradition and the adaptations the music underwent when it crossed the Atlantic and found a few variations on the theme.
In all honesty Solas is band that I'd lost touch with and had it not been for a booking here, that would have lkely remained the case, but I've now managed to re-acquaint myself with the band and their music. I can definitely confirm that they play with veve and passion. The Reunion album has all of the dynamic energy of the band's earlier cuts. This one will definitely get your feet going and I'm predicting a lot of dancing in the field.
