Ricky Scaggs & The Kentucky Thunder

Whilst some hold up Ricky Scaggs as the man that saved bluegrass, tghere are others that dispute that particular point. What is beyond dispute is that multi-Grammy award winning Scaggs kept the music in the public ear for most of his thirty six years plus of playing and recording the music.
Scaggs, brings his very special blend of bluegrass and his backing group, The Kentucky Thunder to the hallowed field at Cherry Hinton, for what must be a very long overdue performance.
Cambridge has had some really excellent bluegrass in the past, old timers and young pretenders alike. Now it really is time for the Godfather of Bluegrass to get up on the stage and blow us all away. Expect to see me at the front for this one.
