Kate Rusby

Kate Rusby has been a regular visit to the festival over the years. Her last official appearance was back in 2005 when she set a new record for the longest queue at the signing tent. She did also make an unexpectd appearance last year when she turned up with hsband John McCusker and Roddy Womble and did a bit of busking. Still in her early thirties, it seems like Kate has been on the scene forever
She's got a clutch of fantastic albums behind her and another due later this year. She has a love of narrative song, particularly a good murder ballad. I've never been disappointed with a set of Kate's songs, live or in the studio, likely to be entertainment personified.
