43rd Cambridge Folk Festival

Jaune Toujours

I can remember a Belgium Band that used to travel to the Festival everyyear. I think they were called Snakes In Exile and even played an official slot in the Club Tent back in '99. Since then Belgium Band's have been noticeable only by their absence.
That changes this year with the appearance of Jaune Toujour, who have started being noticed, despite or perhaps because they're Belgium. From a land more famous for it's beer, Jaune Toujour first came to attention ikn this country through a short, but successful tour a while back. recently they released their new album "Barricades", and got the Cambridge gig off the back of that.
With a sound that dumps a lot of brass and folk sensibilities onto a ska and dub backing, this has the potential to be a real party. It'll definitely be something different.
