Haugaard & Horsa

Danish folk bands have been a bit like hen's teeth at Cambridge so it's good to see them represented this year by Haugaard & Horsa, a duo of violin and guitar.
Largely unknown in the UK, Haugaard & Horsa arrive on the back of half a dozen albums and seven Danish Music awards in a similar number of years. They've been playing on bigger and bigger stages across Europe, the US and Asia and have been credited with giving folk music a new appeal back home, a Danish Show Of Hands if you will.
There is a spirit and vitality in their music, that also somehow seems more thoughtful than some. Curiosity almost demands checking them out.
