Fiddlers Bid

If World War's were fought with fiddles, Shetland would be the global superpower. Over the years they've given us some of the greatest solo fiddle players as well as some damned fine fiddle lead bands. Fiddler's bid are just such a band, last gracing the Cambridge stage back in 2002
It's been sixteen year and five albums since the original Fiddlers Bid came together. The tragically young death of Michael Ferrie back in '96 saw the band being forced to make a change to their personel. Subsequently they've enlarged from a five piece into the current seven piece set up.
In addition to the four fiddlers, the other three members of the band contribute guitar, bass, piano and harp. I've yet to be let down by a Shetland band at Cambridge, there's no reason why that record shouldn't be maintained.
