Bellowhead
Formed back in 2004 and having been given the honour of closing Cambridge in 2005, Bellowhead make their return to Cambridge on the back of winning the Radio Two Best Group Award
at this years ceremony. The band have prviously picked up best live act so you know this eleven piece is no slouch when it comes to delivering the tunes.
There seems to have been a move to bigger groups in recent years, maybe not as permanent acts, but as alternative combos. Bellowhead was conceived by duo, Boden and Spiers and has become
a bit of a folk supergroup, including the likes of Benji Kirkpatrick, Pete Flood and Rachel McShane amongst their number. The take is generally around English dance music but, the size of
the band and internal influences allows them to add plenty of new stances. Well worth a view
