Teddy Thompson
When your dad's Richard Thompson and your mother is Linda Thompson, I suppose you are going to be genetically
predisposed to being a musician and singer. It's in your blood, it's in your childhood
Whether you're a good singer/songwriter/guitarist is down to you. Only you know if you're going to get that lick,
play that riff or get that thought out of your head and on to paper.
Fortunately Teddy Thompson has the talent to let him step out from the shadow of his parents and become a well respected
recording artist in his own right
Teddy's second album shows that he's assured about who and what he is. The album features both parents as well as Loudon Wainwright's kids.
It's what you do when you know how good you are and that the critics are going to be looking for an easy comparison. Teddy is an undoubted
talent. His surname is as much a hinderence as it is a help. It's talent that get's you recognised and I recognise Teddy. Well worth a spin.
