42nd Cambridge Folk Festival

Eddi Reader is an artists that I think I've seen at Cambridge more times than I actually have. There's two main reasons for that. Her relatively close proximity to the Cambridge site and the way she often creeps in a conversation when talking to other folk fans.
It's about half a dozen years since Eddi played Cambridge and about half that long since she's released a new album. This year she does both so it's not exactly what you'ld call a coincidence.
You really can't talk about Eddi Reader without mentioning her stunning voice. She is an artist that truly is distinctive, which may be one of the reasons why she has sung next to so many different people. She is also able to bring top draw musicians to her work over the years so you are never exactly sure what you are going to get from an Eddi Reader set.
I'd like to think that this is going to be an eclectic mix of old and new, but I'm just happy that she's back up on stage at Cambridge
