2006 looks like the year of the Celtic/Gaelic invasion of East Anglia, but when that invasion includes the likes of Dervish I don't think you'll hear too many people complaining. First we take the mainstage, then Radio Two
Lead by vocalist and bodhran player, Cathy Jordan, Dervish are one of those bands that have the ability to get you crying into your beer, only to have you dancing on your feet with the next number as they swing you through the emotions like a toddler in the play park.
Elusively they run around you and put you on tenterhooks as they make their way up the steps to the big slide only to bring a smile to your face as they woosh down the slippy bit with the biggest grin upon their faces.
The band have seen some musicians go and others arrive during their fifteen years together(which puts them less than halfway between The Chieftains & Bodega) but they've been consistently high in their performance. dervish last played back Cambridge back in 2003
