Martha Tilston

Like the other Martha appearing at the festival, Martha Tilston has got music in her genes. Her dad is the famous singer/songwriter Steve Tilston.

Her step mother is Maggie Boyle and the likes of Ber Jansch and John Renbourne used to play in her front room when she was a kid.

Martha's first venture into the musical foray was as part of acoustic duo Mouse. Since starting to establish herself has a solo name Martha has performed supporting the likes of Roddy Frame and EDamien Rice.

Martha released an album, Mouse Tales when still part of the duo and subsequently the lo-fi, kitchen table album Rolling. Martha has been back in the studio and a full album should be along in the summer.
