The Proclaimers

It's some 18 years since The Proclaimers were catapaulted from relative Scottish obsucrity into an internationally known band by an appearance on The Tube, whilst still unsigned.
Their performance of "Letter From America" gained them a record deal with Chrysalis and a vast amount of chart success, not just with that song, but subsequently.
No sooner had Craig and Charlie Reid arrived, they were off on World tours, scoring hits across the globe. All whilst remaining true to their roots and their accent.
The brothers are in the process of recording their sixth album at the moment with producer Mark Wallis twiddling the knobs. Hopefully we'll get to hear some of those tunes alongside band defining classics such as I'm Gonna Be(500 Miles) and Let's Get Married. If we're lucky we might also get to hear the band's interpretation of the Chuck Berry Classic No Particular Place To Go
POST FESTIVAL VERDICT
I was expecting to have a good time listening to Charlie & Craig and wasn't disappointed. They did an interview for the site as well. Two really nice guys that know how to work an audience and put together a good set of songs
