Megson

Having just released their highly acclaimed debut album, "On The Side" and moved from their native Middlesborough to London, things are starting to happen for acoustic duo Megson

Consisting of Stu Hannah and Debbie Palmer, Megson were one of the bands that got their fifteen minutes of fame on the Club Tent. They'd given us a call to let us know when they were on and we went up to the club tent to watch.

We were lucky the Club Tent was slightly ahead id schedule and this meant the band had four songs instead of three.

The band write most of their own material and adapt most of the rest from traditional folk songs. It's down the latter route that my favourite, "Grace Darling" comes.

Their live performance is as emotive and evocative as their recoerded sound. I do hope that success and wider exposure is just around the corner for this pair. If they play near you please go along and support them.
