Les Chauffeurs à pieds

The Canadian Government has a good history in supporting it's musicians. Without their help bands like Les Chauffeurs à pieds might not be able to get out of Quebec to take their place on a bigger stage.

The band, whose name can be translatted as either Drivers Of Foot or Feet Warmers, draw on the French Canadian tradition.

A lot of the music comes from the dance genre, though this is mixed in with older tunes performed as songs.

The band have four releases to their credit, but as yet, I've not been able to lay my hands on a copy to be able to get a more detailed understanding of the band's over all sound.

They are a four piece that include a number of classically trained musicians amongst their number but that's pretty much it.

Early speculation has them down for a Thursday night performance.
