KT Tunstall is a signer songwriter that has just emerged butterfly like into the roots scene in such a way that most people missed the hard work being done by the caterpillar.
Stripped back and lo-fi KT has a sound that hints on being raw, but is so full of vibrancy and charm.
KT's story,starts in St Andrews Scotland, moves via Kent School Connecticut and 10 000 Maniacs to London and Oi Va Voi and a solo career to boot.
Eventually KT found her way to producer Steve Osborne's studios in Wiltshire, where she recorded her highly acclaimed debut album Eye To The Telescope and the rest is, as they say history.
This is genuine world music masquerading as singer songwriter, blues, torch country, folk. A fantastic sound that has created a genuine buzz. If it's anything like as good as her Glastonbury appearance tis will be one that's very special indeed.
