Katy Carr
Katy Carr can often be found with the photographers and writers over at the media caravan. When she said that she was going to queue up at 8 o'clock on Saturday morning, there was an element of disbelief, until she reminded us that she has already released two cds.
Katy was as good as her word, she did queue up at 8 in the morning for a festival slot and we were as good as our word when we went up to the Club Tent at 21:30 to see her play.
Any artists that starts straight with an unaccompanied accapella piece must have a certain amount of confidence and Katy has that in abundance. That she hit every note, also shows she has the talent.
She only performed three songs, two accompanying herself on the keyboard, but they left me impressed. She says she wants a bigger stage next year. With her determination, I can see her getting it.
