The Debate Rages On

For a number of years there has been an under current of resentment rumbling away at Cambridge. It's caused blazing rows and upsets. There have been strongly held views on both sides. It's not about what we watch, it's about how we watch it. This year there were even flyers for an online petition to help prevent these things from entering the tent

The cause of this conflict, the humble chair.

Things have definitely swung in favour of the anti-brigade. Whilst you can have a chair in the field, you can no longer have a chair in the venues. Which then brought about the debate what is a chair? To which the common concensus seems to be, if it look like a chair it's a chair, be it inflatable or made of wood. If it's got legs, it's a chair. If it hasn't got legs then it might be a back rest and that's ok.

Whilst the arguement about space and liberty have some merit, it's a health and safety issue. A few chairs in a crowd like that in the Mainstage when people want to dance is dangerous. Chairs outside tents people in tents, nuff said
