When Jim Moray first played the festival back in 2002, he ran the risk of being condemned 'as the next big thing'. Fortunately it turned out to be a tag that he has both the talent and temperment to live up to.

Winner of both the best album(Sweet England) and horizon awards at the Radio 2 folk awards this year, Jim is really starting to push the boundaries of folk.

Described by some as a techno-traditionalist, Jim has started giving folk a 21st centuary feel that builds on the past and keeps the music living and vibrant.

More than that, and maybe why he got the Horizon award, Moray is adding a multimedia edge to the whole thing that provides a way of dragging in the multimedia generation.
