Gillian Welch

Gillian Welch, is probably one of the best known US singer/songwriters in this country. A host of albums and guest appeances have enhanced a reputation that has been built on frequent UK appearances, both on radio and live.

The majority of her work is in a folk/country style, but she's not afraid to go off at a tangent when the muse takes her.

Her songs weave around a homespun philosophy of people and places, that gives the impression of her living in her poetic creations.

The fates have conspired to stop me seeing her in a live arena, something that I definitely going to correct here.
