Dr Faustus
Following on from the success of their debut album, "First Cut", last year Dr Faustus grace the Cambridge Stage for the 1st time in this guise. Many of the members have performed solo or as parts of other projects.
Dr Faustus consists of Tim Van Eykan, Benji Kirkpatrick, Robert Harbron and Paul Sartin, and as a group they are being credited with driving English folk forward by putting some of the energy back.
The combination of concertina and accordion that the band sometimes use also gives it a touch of the nautical, an area of folk that has been a bit neglected in recent years.
Quality English folk is undergoing a pretty good comeback. Dr Faustus can certainly clim some of the credit for that.
As well as performing , the band will be providing help to establish the next generation with a workshop in the hub.
