Jimmy Cliff

There are few artists that can carry the tag 'living legend'. Of those that could most are now dead. Jimmy Cliff is one of the exceptions.

From reggae he crossed into the mainstream with hits like One World Beautiful People, he did so whilst keeping his integrity in tact.

He has moved from a small following on Jamaica to being an artist with a truly international following. The great thing about that success is that it was delivered in different countries with different songs and then brought together.

I'm not quite sure what I'm expecting here, except a great show. Jimmy was one hell of a surprise to see on the list of artists playing this year, but the more I think about it, the more right it seems.

A hot day, a can of red stripe, this could be Roaring Lion all over again.
