Well what a strange 40th Birthday that was. It's been five years since I've
been, not my choice, but glad to be back. Couldn't get my head around some of
the acts so spent a lot of time at the Radio Two Stage and at the club tent.
Jimmy Cliff, great show, but folk, no. The festival can't seem to decide if it
should grow old disgracefully or get more worldy. The Bar at the Club Tent
seemed to be working ok, but the big bar seemed to lose it at times. Jugs of
Pimms great idea. Highlights Mindy Smith(Radio 2) Amy Wadge(Club Tent) Beth
Orton(Mainstage). Biggest surprise watching my partner, Gayle, complete a nachos
grande, wash it down with a pint of Red Stripe and then have cake!!! And she's
only a little thin thing! Most blatent plug, a cider with Show of Hands at
their signing session.
