Any band with an electric citern player in it's ok by me. If your a Cambridge regular you know that Friday night is Ceilidh night. The Radio Two stage hosts it's dance spectacular, in which you are the star.
It's a great night regardless of your ability or alcohol consumption. Leading the festivities this year are Whapweasel. Featuring brass, string, percussion and keyboard, Whapweasel are a veritable orchestra of the dance.
They've played a number of more traditional festival folk festivals, but this is their Cambridge debut. I've heard them described as the best ceilidh band since the Oysters. I've personally never seen them live so this is probably a good opportunity to see that claim put to the test.
