Roddy
FrameIt's a dozen years since former Aztec Camera front man Roddy Frame made his Cambridge debut.
Remarkably, when you consider his prowess as a singer songwriter, this is his first return visit. In music terms, Roddy is a bit of an enigma.
A lot of that is down to the fact that he's a genuine freespirit. He's rumoured to have buried the Neil Young collection he was given as a signing gift when Aztec Camera signed to WEA in his backyard. He's also supposed to have a Harley, unriden, lounging around the studio.
On top of that he's one of those rare individuals, a genuinely nice guy. All this before you get onto his talents as a writer and performer. His success here needs no lily guilding from me.
Roddy's playing on the Thursday, which pretty much means you're going to need a full weekend ticket to see him. If that's not an incentive, what more do you need?
