Dervish

Hailing from the Emerald Isle, debuted at the festival back in '94. Since then they've gone from strength to strength. In the dozen or so years the band have been together they've maintained a pretty consisitent line-up.

It's one of the main reasons for their success. Another is the quality of their music. This is a band that can have you dancing in the isles one minute and crying into your beer the next.

There is strength in depth with this combo. Seven musicians seems to be a lucky number. The sound is rounded and full, though not to the point where it's lost it's edge.

Add to that Cathy Jordan's fine vocal and you can understand why this band has been a favourite at festivals for so long.
