CAT On The Prowl…Backstage
With illness stopping play last year, it was a reflief to have managed to once again join the FATEA crew at what was to turn out to be another successful festival. But then, I was never in doubt that the whole event would come up trumps, after all with 38 years experience of organising under it’s belt it couldn’t really fail, could it?
What I must admit to being in dout of, though, was how compelling this year’s line-up would be. I couldn’t help feeling that the bill this year just didn’t cut the mustard when compared to previous years’ and despite thoroughly enjoying the majority of the music, by the end of the festival I was still left with that feeling.
Despite this reservation, though, there were certaily some outstanding performances over the four days and I was determined to interview those artists whose music, personality or overall performace impressed me most or who may have been able to provide some insight into the hidden world that is the music industry.
