Eric Bibb Band

Cambridge has always had some great blues artists playing there and to my mind Eric Bibb is one of the best of them. Being based in Scandinavia has given his sound that something that set's him apart from other blues artists.

There's a bench behind the stream where interviews with the blues fraternity just seem to happen. When we interviewed Eric the last time he played he came across as someone that was lucky enough to be doing what they really loved.

More important he came across as someone that want's to put his heart and soul into the genre as part payment. This year he's added the word band to his name and sorts out some more dues.

He's playing solo as well so there's a great chance to compare and contrast.

The last few times I've seen him he's been on the thoughtful and at times almost mellow side of the genre, but that's not to say he's without an edge.

Like folk, blues is a living tradition, not part of the nostelgia industry and Eric Bibb is one of the guys that makes sure it stays that way.
