Further commitment to the future generation of festival goers has been put in place with a youth/kids ceilidh on Friday afternoon. Dance has played an important part in the Friday at Cambridge and this has been enhanced by the addition of the kids ceilidh. Not only does it provide entertainment for the children, but it should also provide an opportunity for learning steps and moves for future years.
The family entertainment for Coldhams Common has now been
announced BONESHAKER(Fri/Sat), Storytelling from POLLY HOWAT(Fri/Sat/Sun),
Mural workshop HUGH JART(Fri/Sat/Sun), children's ceilidh MONSTER

to which the site will have it's own club tent running.
Cambridge have now announced which artists will be playing on which days. This is possibly still subject to changes. Artists only playing one day are marked with a #. Some artists may play more than once on a day on more than one stage. These are subject to contract

This year sees the introduction of the 14-15 year old ticket. Festival organisers have responded to complaints that the leap from aged 13 to a full adult price at 14 could be hard on families and have introduced a cheaper ticket for children in that age range. The information was gathered from the regular on-site surveys and shows the value of filling these in.
Not directly connected to the festival or this site, a new mailing list has been set up for people to chat about the Cambridge Folk Festival past, present and future. It's all pretty informal and social and the craic's good. You may even find the odd posting from the FATEA crew. Just follow the link for subscription details.
