To be honest there wasn't a great deal that we knew about this band, although bells were ringing in the back of my mind. That turned out to be because the band include Simon Care amongst their number. Anyway, we gave Simon a shout and he gave us this.

Tickled Pink were formed in 1989 by Simon Care ,Gerald Claridge and Guy Fletcher. The idea behind the band was to form a band that was the perfect antidote for all the 'blue rinse' barn dance bands doing the rounds at the time. We decided to perform english ceilidh music in a way that incorporated the modern popular music of the day. This proved to be very popular with the younger festival going audience. One popular festival actually refused to book us because we attracted 'people who wear boots'. A significant triumph we thought.

We split up after my commitments with Edward II became too much. But after 5 years we decided we would dip our toes once more. To our surprise we were immediatly booked by Sidmouth,Cambridge,Towersey and a couple of other significant festivals
